Jethro Bovingdon van DriveTribe loog niet toen hij tijdens zijn review van de nieuwe\u00a0Porsche 911 GT3<\/a> zei dat de auto beter dan ooit was. Op de Nordschleife klokte de facelift van de 911 GT3 een rondetijd van 7:12,7 minuten, hiermee is de 991.2\u00a0precies 12,3 seconden sneller dan de vorige GT3.<\/p>\n

Wat misschien nog wel opvallender is, is het feit dat de vernieuwde GT3 ook nog eens 7,3 seconden sneller is dan het topmodel, de 911 GT3 RS<\/a>. Met zijn nieuwe 4.0-liter boxermotor, verbeterde achterwielsturing, nieuwe dempers en\u00a0Michelin Sport Cup 2 N1-banden, slaagde de 2017 911 GT3 erin om richting de top 10 te kruipen op het legendarische circuit in de Eifel.<\/p>\n

“A few years ago, lap times like this could only ever be achieved by thoroughbred racing cars with slick tyres,”<\/i>\u00a0vertelde GT product line director, Andreas Preuninger. “The new GT3 can now achieve this with comparatively modest power, but is still fully suited for everyday use.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Als je bedenkt dat de 911 GT2 RS<\/a> ook nog op het programma staat, dan\u00a0zijn wij heel benieuwd waar die toe in staat is.<\/p>\n
